Ashok 2.jpeg

An Artist, a visual expert with esoteric dimension, and a generous mentor are just a few words that have been used to define Ashok. While his images leave the spectators asking for more, his thoughts and expression stir the deepest emotions and cast a spell of magnificence hard to explain in words.

A photographer par excellence, Ashok started as a painter in his early years. But once he discovered the magic of photography, in the late eighties, he embraced it completely.

In more than three decades of working in the field, Ashok has worked for several big industrial & corporate houses in India which include Hero Honda, Eicher, Birla group of companies, Ambience Group, Seagram, Max Healthcare, and the list goes on.

Although Ashok started his journey with analog medium, he has kept with the technological advances in the field. He switched over to digital when the technology came of age and has constantly pushed the boundaries of what can be achieved with the images with not just the technology but also with imagination.

He has also worked across genres including conceptual, fashion, street, nature etc. and has also had direct clients across the world. He has had countless exhibitions in India and abroad on various themes and has represented Canon in India for many years.

Throughout his career, Ashok also has been a generous mentor. In fact, the passion of sharing comes to him first and foremost. He has done innumerable hands on workshops, live demonstrations and innovative creative talks on all types of genres, for all types of audience.

He also conducts photo tours for all levels of photographers, beginner or at advanced level. The extra benefit of being on tour with Ashok is the rich cultural and spiritual experience that a participant gets. Ashok is the first photographer to perfect the idea of ‘Think East and capture’, to stay focused on one's thoughts and inner expression without getting carried away by techniques.

“Ashok lives and breathes photography - it is his life. He sees moments in life and captures them, and teaches others how to do the same. He is a fantastic photographer and an inspiration to others.”

Kannaiyan Rabindranath

“The photo is so subtle yet vibrant. A masterpiece in lighting and colour. Reminds me of the great masters of painting especially Caravaggio and Vermeer..”
